Job Description

We are looking for customer services oriented people to work as a food and beverage servers

 

 

Your Job Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the Food Services Team, you will be required to work in multiple areas within a single location, with the opportunity to work at all locations indicated below. Preference will be given to candidates who are willing and able to work at all locations.

     

    City Centre Location: C Food Services, including the Café, Kiosk and Banquets

    Braeben Golf Course: Clubhouse & Beverage Cart

    Lakeview Golf Course: Clubhouse & Beverage Cart

 

Lounge/Pub/Café/Kiosk

 

  • Taking orders for food & beverages, answering inquiries, explaining daily features, accurately placing orders in the Point of Sales (POS) system and bringing orders to tables
  • Serve alcohol in accordance with Ontario’s liquor laws as governed by the AGCO
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service on an ongoing basis.
  • Payment processing including cash handling
  • Balance daily cash out receipts in accordance with Corporate cash handling procedures
  • Perform opening/closing duties as assigned
  • Assist in inventory control and verification
  • Carry out other duties as requested

Beverage Cart

  • Provide on course beverage and snack vendor service through operation of a motorized cart
  • Serve alcohol in accordance with Ontario’s liquor laws as governed by the AGCO
  • Record sales accurately using manual system
  • Payment processing including cash handling
  • Assist with inventory control and verification

Banquets:

  • Assist with the set up and tear down for events
  • Serve all items as outlined in Banquet Event Order
  • Serve alcohol in accordance with Ontario’s liquor laws as governed by the AGCO (ie. Bartending service at main and satellite bars, wine service)
  • Follow the direction of the Banquet Supervisor and/or Event Coordinator; additional duties as requested

 

Job Specifications:

  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and have excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to work independently and provide leadership in a team environment
  • Ability to handle a variety of responsibilities relating to a food & beverage operation
  • Ability to think quickly and respond to changing priorities; problem solving skills
  • Point of Sale software and cash handling experience is a definite asset
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays and a variety of early morning, and late evening shifts
  • Smart Serve and Emergency First Aid Certification is required
  • Complete all mandatory E-Learning Modules
  • Employment offer is conditional upon receipt of a Criminal Records Search that is acceptable to the City of Mississauga

  

Hours of Work: Part Time - up to 32 hours, based on business needs

Salary: $11.69 - $12.21 plus gratuities when applicable
