Job Requirements:

  • Skilled in short order cooking and banquet food preparation
  • Able to handle a variety of responsibilities relating to food handling and preparation
  • Ability to work on own initiative and work well in a team environment that is focussed on customer service
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and have good organizational skills
  • Ability  to work weekends, holidays and a variety of morning and afternoon shifts
  • Employment offer is conditional upon receipt of a Criminal Records Search that is acceptable to the City of Mississauga
  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled shift in approved uniform



  • Provide the highest level of customer service on a consistent basis
  • To assist Head Chef in day to day operation of the kitchen
  • To coordinate timely food service in the kitchen
  • Perform opening/closing duties as assigned on a regular basis
  • Ensure cleanliness is maintained at all times
  • Recieve and rotate products/goods
  • Maintenance of kitchen equipment as directed by Chef/Supervisor
  • Prepare and cook dishes under direction of Head Chef
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned
  • Successful applicants must be prepared to be transferred, with appropriate notice, to different facility as operational and organizational needs require.

Salary: $12.68 - $13.82
