​Under the direction of the Director, Legislative Services and City Clerk, the successful candidate will:

  • Manage the Provincial Offences Court and the Administrative Penalties System through management of staff
  • Development of business plans and budgets
  • Establishment of procedures and controls to ensure timely and efficient processing
  • Resolution of matters filed with the court and issuing of legal documents in accordance with statues, regulations and court rules.  
  • The candidate will also develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Judiciary, Prosecutors, Police and other public enforcement agencies
  • Maintain and update the Court Master Plan
  • Download ICON reports and reformat reports for statistical purposes
  • Maintain stock control, including placement of bulk orders (tickets) and all prescribed forms
  • Performing other duties as may be assigned.


  • University degree or equivalent education in Public Administration, Law or equivalent, with
  • Minimum of 5–7 years experience with an emphasis on Provincial Offences Court administration and the Administrative Penalties System (APS) process and procedures.
  • Demonstrated management, supervisory, leadership and team building skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to liaise effectively with clients, all levels of staff, the Judiciary, Prosecutors, Ministry of Attorney General, and enforcement agencies.
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency with related computer software applications and excellent knowledge of the Provincial Offences Act and other applicable legislation and rules of court procedure is required.




Hours of Work: 35 hour per week

Salary: $95,994 - $127,987
