  • Must be a minimum 18 years of age and completed grade 12.
  • Must be highly motivated and responsible.
  • Must be Smart Serve Certified.
  • Emergency First Aid certificate (CPR A, CPR B or CPR C) required at time of hire.
  • Green patch CSA approved safety boots required, 6" - 8" to cover ankle, suede or leather and beige or navy blue shorts.
  • V.H.F Licence and Pleasure Craft Operators Card an asset.
  • Must have experience in cash handling, staff supervision and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends early May to October, Will consider students who can report in Sept. Oct on weekends and evenings.35 - 44 hrs per week, weather related.
  • Employment offer is conditional upon receipt of a Criminal Record Search that is acceptable to the City of Mississauga or Record of Offences Declaration for returning staff.



  • Responsible for the general operation of the Marina including maintenance, record keeping, staff supervision and customer service.
  • Ensure a safe and clean facility for all boaters.
  • Conduct regular inspection of equipment and the facility.
  • Provide ongoing functional guidance and training to Marina Attendants and Concessions staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Perform general cleaning, set-up and maintenance where needed, including plumbing repairs.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly inventories of supplies.
  • Reconcile daily cash balances in accordance with City cash handling policies.
  • Assist boaters with docking as needed.
  • Perform general parks maintenance as needed.
  • Keep accurate records including slip allocation information.
  • Report all issues to the Marina Manager in a timely fashion.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Hours of Work: Part-time Hours, up to 40 hours per week

Employment Period: Mary 2018 to September 2018

Hourly Rate: $17.68 - $19.26
